Answers:

- AR System Server (any platform) remains at $20,000
- Express Plus support is indeed 18% (call if you want to review the differences between Basic Plus, Express Plus and Express Plus 1 Hour)
- AR System User Floating Write 5-Pack remains at $12,000

As always, your final price is determined by the discount negotiated, plus pro-rated annual support, plus applicable sales tax. Discounts are affected by the reseller selected, length and depth of your relationship with that reseller, past purchase history, perceived value of future purchases, order value, order timing, and whether the if the order is combined with other products and/or services.

Also a heads up. BMC Remedy increased prices 3-10% in July 2005, primarily on the application licenses. If anyone is currently budgeting for their next Remedy annual support payment, you'll need to take these new list prices into consideration, as they will be the "basis" Remedy uses to calculate your annual support invoice.

Sound complicated? It's not! I've been involved with purchasing and maintenance contracts, on BOTH sides of the fence (as a client AND as a vendor), for more years than I care to admit. Please feel free to call if I can answer any questions.

Ouch. The last quote I received for a floating 5-pack was $16,400, and a development server price (should be half of normal price) of $16,500. Am I talking to the wrong people?

I could be mistaken, but that ($16,400) sounds a lot like a Help Desk Floating full license 5 pack. Are we just talking ARSystem licenses or did the quote you receive include any Application licenses?
