Is there a way - outside of the Admin tool - to Search on just the time portion of a Date/Time field?

I've seen the use of the modulo (%) operator to select time periods. If you
search through the archives you should find examples of selecting time
periods during the day and possibly examples to search for Monday through
Friday.
