Classification: UNCLASSIFIED

Has anyone out there developed some sort of Undo feature similar to Microsoft Word for the Admin tool.

If so can you please share it with me.

To the best of my knowledge it is called close and re-open. Anything else, in my understanding, would be re-writing the admin tool.

Although it would be cool to have that ability.

Ever thought about using source control like Visual Source Safe? You can store previous versions of your ALs, Forms, and Filters and recover them if you need to.

Thanks,

Sean

If you've already written to the database, your undo is a good backup. Here, we have an automated process back-up all objects to Def files every night. If I pull a major "Ooops." I simply restore the objects from last night's file.

Two Things here.. I already put that request in RFE000000005720
from 05/13/02 9:27:54 AM

and the other is that you could use migrator for that as well.. backups are nice..

But I agree, having 2 previous versions or at least 1 would be nice. Maybe a tab.. labeled as BAK

Maybe one day..
