Hello Listers,

Happy New Year to all!!

I am running into a bit of a problem when trying to import a def file. The
source and destination machines run the same ARS and database versions (ARS
5.1.2 and MS SQL database). I have not modified the def file manually.

The error I am getting when importing is:
A core definition from the definition file is incorrect: (7) : : (ARERR
405).

However, the definitions get imported properly but I was still wondering
what this error means (especially since I did not manually modify the def
file).

Any help will be much appreciated!

Regards,
Rahim

One of the core fields in the def file was exported with a bad value. This
is a trip down memory lave, but I think it was either the submitter or
short-description field that was exported with a bad value for the field
length. For instance, instead of the short-description field definition
specifying a length of 128, it was exported with a length specified as 255,
or something like that.

You may want to check the patch level on your admin tool...
