We are currently seeking a Remedy Administrator to join our team.

The System Administrator is responsible for overall management of Help Desk
and Desktop Support and back office technical platforms. The ideal
candidate is a seasoned Systems Administrator with extensive problem
solving and technical support experience. The System Administrator will
perform regularly scheduled operational functions as required, pertaining,
but not limited, to:

• Windows 2000 systems administration and support
• Primary technical contact for clients
• Client data manipulation and import
• Data backup, restoration and preservation
• Investigating and ensuring resolution of all production-processing issues
for both the production and development environments
• Ensuring all production processing hardware, operating systems, and core
server applications are operating efficiently and at optimal levels
• Production job scheduling, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Production systems capacity monitoring and planning
• Providing functional and operational support for support staff as
required
• Asset management of infrastructure components
• Print management services, maintenance and security
• Management of the telephony systems onsite
• Identifying recurring and potential operations problems, performing
remediation, and recommending controls for prevention
• Investigating alternate methods to expedite problem resolution
• Working closely with Team members to define, document, and communicate
operational strategies, procedures, and policies
• Providing input on problem resolution and project initiatives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participate in the planning, design, development and implementation of
major systems or services in the HDDT facility
2. Prepare detailed specifications for the development of systems and/or
services
3. Recommend improvements to existing systems, services, policies,
procedures and/or practices
4. Develop solutions or services that meet internal customer needs and
comply with operational standards
5. Participate in project task definition; team lead for completing defined
projects
6. Demonstrate ownership of an area of responsibility by taking initiative
to make improvements and resolve problems
7. Utilize strong research skills to resolve issues or develop alternative
solutions
8. Organize, lead, and complete projects assigned with management support
9. Provide 24 hour support for all systems in HDDT facility
10. Responsible for keeping technical skills current with industry trends
through self-study, from networking with other IT professionals and from
technical courses.

Specialized Job Scope:
1. Remedy Help Desk 5.X, Remedy Asset Management, Remedy Change Management
2. Primus eServer 5.X, Primus Quick Resolve, Primus CSR Assist
3. Interactive Intelligence CIC Server
4. Backup/restore systems setup and scripting, ArcServe and Veritas
5. SQL 7.0 and 2000 experience
6. PCAnywhere, DHCP, Client to Client VPN, IOS 12.X and 13.X experience
7. In depth knowledge of Windows 2000 permissions and security
implementation
8. In depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2000
9. Understanding of PIX firewall management
10. Proficient Compaq/HP server hardware knowledge
11. Understand HIPPA and other health care related security and privacy
regulations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The System Administrator works with other department managers and directors
under the direction of the Director of Operations. Contact with clients,
external vendors and consultants are required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• A BA or BS Degree in computer science or business administration is
required.
• Minimum 2 year experience with maintaining an Windows 2000/NT Network
with 50+ users.
• 5 years experience in a information technology environment is required.
• 4 years experience in the existing hardware and software environment is
highly desired.
• 2 years experience minimum with communications equipment, all-in-one
systems, database technology, office automation and transaction processing
is desired.
• Translate business needs into Help Desk/Desktop support system solutions.
• Strong project management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to present our solution in front of clients.
• Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally
and in writing is required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook) required.
• Strong Working knowledge of Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP required.
• Knowledge of software licensing, database requirements, and security
issues.
• Some overnight travel will be required.
