Good Morning,

We are in the process of installing the Discovery Service for SMS and
would like to know any gotchas during the installation process. From the
documentation it appears that you can install SMS on the actual SMS Site
server, or on a different host as long as it has the SMS client software
installed and can connect to the SMS server. We would like to run the
discovery service on the Remedy server, but are not sure how much of a
resource-hog the Discovery Service may be and how it will affect
production. The following is our configuration:

ARS 5.1.2, Windows 2003 server
MS SQL, Windows 2003 server (different box)
Mid-Tier- WINdows 2003 server (running on its own box different from ARS
& SQL boxes)
