Hi;

Remedy User 6.x

Anyone if or how to get a "Do you really want to Exit - Yes / No message" when exiting Remedy User. I keep clicking on the big X when I didn't mean to - very frustrating

Thanks, Tom Griggs

I think this would be non-windows std, it's the same behaviour in Outlook, Excel ..but I can agree, I often do the same mistake myself, but I don't know any way to prevent this, maybe someone have?

Hi

You can try to use Active Link on window close with Error message. Then when you try to use the "X" you will receive Active Link Error "One or more active links faild....." with Yes/No buttons That enable you to go back to the application. Please note that it works only once and in order to reoperate this message you need to close the window and reopen it.

In order not to interupt your workflow put this Active Link just on the first window (Control Panel) if you use one.

Or if you are opening your applications from a control form you can set a hidden field
on the control form to a dummy value to enable the 'Save' button, which will prevent
you from using the BIG X to close the Remedy tool as it will prompt you with that 'Do
you really....'

Design a Close button on the Control form that would set the Save action value to 0 and
then closes the control form to keep things clean as far as your application is
concerned (not really necessary to build this part)
