There is active development work going on in the arsperl world.

Work is about to begin on 2.0, which will be 5.x and 6.x compliant. I'm sure there will be more announcements about that.
As to your question, David Adams was working on making ARSDoc work with ARSPerl 1.81 and 1.82, however, there is a bug that he reported to Jeff M. that was causing segmentation faults. I'm sure that is one of the items high on the list of things to address in the arsperl world.
Once it has been fixed, I'm sure there will be a 1.29 or 1.3 release of arsdoc.
