ARSERV, first sends the trouble ticket via e-mail to the assignee and then updates the database record. Though, the e-mail is sent, ARCLNT reports an error of the following context: "ARERR[92] Timeout during database update -- the operation has been accepted by the server and will ususally complete successfully: ixxxsvr1" With ixxsvr1 being the hostname. On the server console, the following error may be present: "<date/time> ixxxsvr1 arservd[pid]: 390600: Email notification operation timed out before completion (ARWARN 47): <email address> -- TT <trouble ticket number>" The e-mail notification is received by the targeted user as well as the database is updated (opening the user's sendmail will display the notification and closing/restarting the Remedy User Tool will reveal the record was updated).

Is there anyway to prevent these error messages from occurring. Are these just warnings because of a timeout or is this a real problem? Can increase the timeout?
