You can create any filter You want (new), or modify existing, and use action notify, set relevant criteria on the 'run if row'and use the method as described.

Thanks, this sounds like useful information, this is exactly what I want
to do.
I succeeded in creating a template, adding it to the AR System Email
Template, and selecting it as a template in the configuration (it's
added to the e-mails)
I'm a dummy regarding to filters though...
What filter are your talking about exactly? Where can I find it? I have
this list of filters in the Remedy Administrator, but I'm not sure which
one I have to pick...
Thanks a lot,
Best regards,
Niels

Hi, the way I solve outgoing emails: create a templatefile in notepad,
something like,
Stangd Driftstorning!
Driftstorning: #$$Driftstorning$$#
Klass: #$$Escaleringsniva Driftstorning$$#
Atgard: #$$Atgard$$#
Timmar oppet: #$$Tim oppet$$#
Driftstorning nr: #$$Driftstorning nr$$#
Driftstorning stangd av: #$$Full namn from User$$#
Give this file a name, filename.htm and add it to the ARSystem Email
Template form as HTML format
In the filter, INCLUDE the field in the file, have public acess on
them, and on page Templates in the filer, field Content, enter the name
'filename'
Works form me ...

Hi, Assuming you've got the fields' database name correct in your
template and your syntax is correct, there are two things that I've seen
in the past that have caused field values to not be passed into the
email template.
1. Ensure that the fields are also selected in the notify action of
your filter.
2. If #1. doesn't work, then in addition to selecting the fields in
the notify action try giving public view access to the fields you're
trying to pass.
I will qualify by saying that I've never passed variables into a header
or footer template - I've only passed them into content templates. I
don't know of any limitation there but I'm not sure.
Tayler.

Subject: Problems using templates (outgoing mail)
Hi,
I'm relatively new to Remedy ARS and I'm trying to customize the mails
that Remedy ARS sends out. We're also using the Customer Support
application.
I have a couple of questions though regarding the outgoing e-mail
templates:
- When I change the Status Mode of a ticket, Remedy sends out an
e-mail
informing the contact of this status change. I haven't found the
template that ARS uses though. Where is it? Where can I change it?
- I created a header and footer template, added those to the template
"repository" and selected the header and footer in the ARS mailbox
setup
(outgoing mailbox). Whatever I do though, I haven't bee able to use
any
database fields in the header. Something simple like "Dear #$$First
Name$$#" or something like that doesn't work. Is there something I
need
to do before this works??
Best regards,
Niels Schoot
