In the past that has been announced either at the end
of the conference or a few months later. Have never
seen it announced before the conference.

I agree. My guess would be in the Bay Area, since they have never had it away from there for two straight years.

If it were in Chicago, you wouldn't have that problem- as long as you don't
mind rain every third day (or so it seems this year). And we have beaches
like Miami... just ignore the E.Coli... ;)

How about up here in beautiful Vancouver, BC Canada?

We have beautiful beaches right beside our beautiful mountains. The weather is usually very good during the summer but not too hot like Florida.

Then maybe I could actually go ;-)

I second Warren's suggestion - Seattle is great, but I live here. I'd suggest San Diego, but that's home to some competing software company whose name we won't mention here...(hint: starts with P).

Realistically, I'd bet my next paycheck that it will be in the S.F. area next year. They like to stay close to home to allow lots of their people to attend without shutting the company down in the process.

Miami.

New Orleans in July ..... you must have enjoyed the
106 degrees around the Pool for the Welcome Reception
in Orlando then ...

Vancouver is beautiful at that time ... or Toronto if
you want to stay Canadian ... a zillion things to do
there

San Fran is always my first choice though

Shawn,

I have to protest something you said. The beaches in
Chicago are nothing like the beaches in Miami (Palm
trees, bikinis). Other than that I wouldn't mind
seeing the conference in New Orleans or BC, Canada.

...not to mention the humidity that made drinking anything alcoholic an
unhealthy proposition. Or the rain Wednesday night that dampened one
only slightly more than one's own sweat would. Or the monsoons that hit
us twice. Or...what it will likely be like in D.C. in about a month
(which I still hold out slight hope to find out personally).

You know Susan, I'm a pretty big guy.... What can I say? I like my

I think I lost 8 inches on the old waist band that day....

I tried to keep up with the water loss, but there just wasn't enough

I'd love to see RUG here in San Diego since I'd finally be able to attend. Who would mind a little nose-thumbing at "P" while we're at it anyway?

I second Warren's suggestion - Seattle is great, but I live here. I'd suggest San Diego, but that's home to some competing software company whose name we won't mention here...(hint: starts with P).

Realistically, I'd bet my next paycheck that it will be in the S.F. area next year. They like to stay close to home to allow lots of their people to attend without shutting the company down in the process.

Please oh, please let it be in Dallas. No airfare, no hotel, just the cost of the session and probably a week's vacation time. Out of my own pocket of course.

Please oh, please let it be in Dallas. No airfare, no hotel, just the cost of the session and probably a week's vacation time. Out of my own pocket of course.

Enough is enough please.

I'll ask if Kinetic Data would be good enough to set up a Survey
so you can go there for it, instead. This will allow not only those that are at RUG
to comment but also those that couldn't get there.

There are many places with many good attributes, it will not be resolved here.

thanks ... Daniel
ps. That being said, there is a 90% chance of the Bay Area next year but we'll see
